About David P. Murphy

David P. Murphy is a writer, songwriter and producer of two CDs, "Shining in a Temporary Sun" and Henry Perry's "Effortless."

He has been playing piano since he was a kid and is still trying to get it right.

He is currently finishing up his newest musical, "anotherwhere" and his book, "Zombies for Zombies: Advice and Etiquette for the Living Dead," has just been released.

Mr. Murphy currently resides in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska with his unusually large cat, Beany.

About "Over Yonder": This was written for my cat, Emmet, after his passing. Emmet was like the missing link of the siamese world -- just enormous and could be testy at times. He outlived feline diabetes (gee, i loved giving those shots -- not!) but he couldn't get past cancer. He was a wacky boy but he was MY boy and I miss him and my girl Midge who came after him.
